A Photo Essay “IKYEP 2012”

IKYEP stands for Indonesia-Korea Youth Exchange Program. It is an inter governmental youth exchange program which is held by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family South Korea and Ministry of Youth and Sport Republic Indonesia.

The program has strategic roles in order to build friendship and mutual understanding between youth from both countries. As for Indonesian, this program is specifically aims to build Indonesian youths to:

1. To be more responsible, mature in thought and behavior;

2. To develop sense of nationalism in a global community;

3. Sharp in thought and creative;

4. To develop tolerance and adaptive in address diversity.

I’ve ever written about my experience during IKYEP 2012 before right? And now I just want to share an essay book which I made. I am thinking to make a photo essay book to keep our great experience in IKYEP 2012 and to encourage other youth’s life. This 60 pages book records moments during IKYEP 2012 and it has a special quote in each single picture.

Well, here’s the front and back cover of the book.

I choose Haeinsa Temple as the main cover because it is the most special place during IKYEP journey. This building is considered as World Heritage site and it keeps great tripitaka historical story behind.

Some quotes are from famous people and some of it is from IKYEP 2012’s delegates. I will type some quotes from the book which are my fave.

As it is mentioned above, the photos are photographed by me and IKYEP 2012’s coordinator Mr. Kim Hyun Sung. There’s also short essay from each delegate telling their personal impression about IKYEP experiences.

The last picture is the picture of Indonesia and Korea delegates of IKYEP 2012 in Indonesia Presidential Palace. Indonesia delegates wear black uniform and Korea wear the white one 
